Russell Coe is an Associate Professor of mathematics at the Ammerman Campus of Suffolk County Community College. Professor Coe was hired in 2006 as a full time member of the faculty after having taught one year at Central Connecticut State University in New Britain CT. He earned his Ph.D. in Mathematics at Wesleyan University in 2005. His area of research was in dynamical systems. At Suffolk he has been an advisor for the Math Club since the fall semester of 2007. He has taught a variety of courses ranging from MAT001 Developmental Math Skills, to Calculus II and Discrete Math. His hobbies include baking and gardening. Russell especially likes to bake for family occasions and for the Math and Computer Science department for big holidays. As a gardener, he has won many competitions making flower arrangements at a large fair in northern VT where he spends his summer breaks. Besides this, he has taught Sunday school at his church and regularly goes to a local gym.
